Chongqing Institute of Foreign Studies(The Institute) was founded in 2001 and is located at 18 Longshi Avenue, Yubei District, Chongqing,China.There are about 21000 students enrolled in the Institute. We adopt anorganisational structure in which the President is in charge underthe leadership of the Board of Directors of the Institute. There are3 logistics departments, 6 teaching assistant departments, 10teaching departments and 9 administrative departments.

The Institute covers an area of more than 255.16 acres, with anecological garden of more than 153.6 acres and a building area of about 134,372 square meters. The overall green area within the Institute campus counts for 60%. We have 8 teaching buildings and 20 dormitory buildings in the Institute, withabout 6,000 dormitories. There are 400 classroomsof various types with a total seating capacity of 2,4000, and a total of 35 experimentaland practical training rooms. We have 22 outdoor sports grounds and 22 sports support facilities, with a total area of 6,2349 squaremetres. There is also 1 large comprehensive sports ground and agymnasium building. We also have a digital library with a total areaof 33,900 square metres.
